What is a GEDCOM file? +
GEDCOM is the universal format for genealogy data — exported by Ancestry, FamilySearch, MyHeritage, and most other family tree apps. If you've already done research there, you can bring it all over instantly.
Can I upgrade or downgrade at any time? +
Yes. You can change plans at any time. Upgrades take effect immediately. Downgrades take effect at the end of your current billing period, and your data is always safe.
What counts as a "family editor"? +
A family editor is someone you've granted permission to add or update people in your tree — a spouse, a sibling, a cousin who knows the history. Viewers with a shared link don't count toward this limit.
Is my family's data private? +
Your tree is private by default. Only people you explicitly invite can see it. You control access completely — no one stumbles onto your family's history.
What happens to my data if I cancel? +
Your tree and all your data remain accessible on the Free plan. You'll simply revert to the Free tier limits. We'll never delete your data without warning you first.
